This program includes: interview and job application skills, resume preparation, goal setting, work maturity-handling workplace conflict, information on getting needs met through helpful resource lists of colleges, technical schools, housing, food, health care/treatment and child care programs, and current job leads. Participants are awarded a Certificate of completion for 131/2 hours of classes held on three days, once monthly.
A bus token program is available for some clients with ID and work documents, (Community Corrections- Phase 1) and additional services as work tools and boots, hard-skill training, bus passes, mentoring and support for those in Denver Metro Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative and Stop the Revolving Door.
Those That May Attend By Invitation Only:
Community Corrections - Phase 1 - inmates currently at Denver County Jail
Denver Metro Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative – recently released, non-violent offenders
Stop the Revolving Door - recently released from State/Federal facilities no offense restrictions
With the exception of people currently in Phase 1,
Participants may only be invited by a case manager.
